Log in to Business Manager

Instructions:

  • Make sure you are logged into Facebook
  • Go to https://business.facebook.com/
  • Forwards me to Meta Business Suite (new layout)
  • To change, go to bottom left corner and choose “Go To Business Manager”
  • Navigate to Ads Manager

In Ads Manager

Instructions:

  • Click on Green + sign

Popup: Campaign Objective

Instructions:

  • Tick “Leads”
  • Click Continue

Popup: Choose a Campaign Setup

Instructions:

  • Tick “Manual Leads Campaign”
  • Click Continue

Opens up to “New Campaign” Page

Instructions:

  • Campaign Name – name it the date 15/07/2024
  • Advantage campaign budget – turn it on
  • Campaign budget – add customer daily amount
  • Leave everything else
  • Click Next (blue button)

Opens up to “Ad-Set Page”

Instructions:

  • Instant Forms – always choose this one
  • Facebook Page – here you attach FB Page (via dropdown) should be there
  • Scroll Down – do not touch anything else until you find
  • Budget & Schedule – set to midnight 00:00
      • Means the budget starts at midnight
      • Allows FB to spend budget equally over entire day
      • SO you have 24 hrs to spend the $30 (full day of learning)
      • If you use 5pm as an example.. then FB has to spend budget
      • From 5pm to midnight… not gonna get the best results.
      • So start budget at midnight
  • Next is Audience Controls – Location
  • Location – here you would type in the city name like Atlanta, Georgia, USA
  • And choose the Radius, for example 20 miles
  • You can also ask your clients to supply you with zip codes and neighbourhoods they serve and target those zip codes as well
  • Beneath the Maps section there is a dropdown that says “Show more options” and this where you can set the age requirements.
  • Minimum Age – always use 25+ especially if you’re in home renovation, roofing, solar, any service where person owns a house, make it 25+
  • Leave the rest as is
  • Click Next

You might be thinking that i did absolutely nothing.. And your right i did not do much. And that’s because Facebook has become so good lately that you don’t have to do anything.

Opens up to “Ad Page”

Instructions:

  • Ad Creative – this is where you ad your media
    • Add Media
      • Click Edit dropdown, choose Edit Media
      • Add media and upload
    • Crop
      • Keep them all on Original
      • Images you want to make a 4×5… research sizes more?
      • Why, because it will take up the most space possible on FB, because you are already paying for that real estate.
      • Click Next
    • Optimise
      • You don’t have to do anything here
      • Click Next
      • Boom you now have image in FB Manager
    • Primary Text
      • Paste your copy in here (with emojis already added)
      • Text Generation (ai generated)
        • Will give you 5 copy variations you can use
        • You are in testing phase, so use all versions to test & see which one performs the best
        • The more text options that you use, the more that you can reduce creative fatigue and personalise your ad for each person who sees it.
        • I am having a problem here… It works by giving me the copy variations. But then glitches and inserts autosaved tel #, some sort of bug here? Will probably be fine when using another account.
      • Headline:
        • Add your headline here
        • Can click on “Add headline option” to split test different headlines.

  • Text Generation (ai generated)
    • Will give you another 5 headline variations you can use & test
    • You are already testing with the first 3 headlines
    • You can use ai generated ones if you want or just leave out.
  • Description:
    • Don’t touch it,
    • Leave it empty
  • Call To Action
    • Always use “Learn more”
    • Has the highest conversions, works the best
  • Create Form
    • Will find it under Destination section
    • Click on “Create Form”
  • Fill Out Sections of Lead Form (14:42)
    • Form name – autofills or manually change name
    • Form type – choose “More volume”
