WORKING IN THE FAMILY BIZ
I spent over a decade working in the family’s business, I helped start it from the ground up. We launched a kitchen and bedroom manufacturing company that focused on delivering affordable, well-designed spaces to the public.
We offered a standard range of cupboard units, which allowed us to streamline our production process. While we designed each kitchen layout to suit the customer’s space, we aimed to use our standard range as much as possible. This approach kept production efficient, reduced lead times, and ensured a smoother installation process.
We began with a single showroom, where I served as the lead salesperson. As demand grew, I took the initiative to expand the business—designing new showroom layouts, working the sales floor until we had consistent bookings, and then hiring and training sales staff to take over.
At our peak, we operated 10 showrooms. I officially held the role of Sales Manager, overseeing the entire sales operation across all locations. I was also responsible for ensuring each new branch became profitable before moving on to the next.
In addition to sales, I was often involved in managing our manufacturing plant. I oversaw all stages of the process—from cutting and edging the boards, assembling units, and manufacturing doors, to quality control, delivery logistics, and coordinating installation teams.
I’ve worked in nearly every part of the business. This hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of how to scale a brick-and-mortar company while keeping operations lean and efficient.
Today, I apply that same mindset in the world of digital marketing. I understand the real-world challenges that business owners face, and I use that experience to create systems that actually help local businesses grow.
LIVE SALES CALLS
- Delivered 5+ Demo Sales Calls a day across South East Asia (APAC) region as an Account Executive.
- Sold SaaS reporting software to Marketing Digital Agency owners for a European company.
- Delivered demo calls to agency owners in Australia, New Zealand. Singapore, Malaysia, India & Philippines.
- Had a SDR team of 2 guys sending out cold emails and cold calling companies filling my calendar with appointments every day.
- My job was to jump on a call, demo our software, set them up with a free trial run and then close PIF (Paid in Full) deals. Which entailed following up relentlessly and tracking everything in our Salesforce CRM.
- We had a sales team of 8 closers covering different parts of the world and had daily meetings and training sessions with agressive KPI’s and Targets to meet each week.
